- SCP-8587 is a rusted, two-step folding ladder located in the backyard of a home in Quebec that cannot be moved from its spot, despite experiencing normal wear and tear from the environment like cuts and lost screws. It appeared in the backyard during the winter of 2020 and was noticed by the residents in the spring when it remained undisturbed by strong winds that affected other objects. Attempts by the family, neighbors, and Foundation personnel to move it have all failed, even when the ground beneath it was dug out, causing it to float in place. The Foundation has since purchased the home as its containment unit.
